English Eerie: The Brimstone Codex

The year is 1922. You are a scholar of medieval texts at Oxford University, enjoying some recent notoriety after a discovery made a month ago on a trip to Germany where you uncovered a 13th century manuscript you have dubbed the Brimstone Codex for its garish depictions of all sorts of hellish demons. The manuscript has become as source of obsession for you as you attempt to make sense of the dastardly thing, to the point where now you have dreams of strange beings and hellfire. The writing is neither Germanic nor Latin, reminding you of the Voynich Manuscript because of its strange, impenetrable language. To aid you in your quest to unravel the manuscript’s mystery you have enlisted the help of several university colleagues. But as your studies draw on, you and those around you find that this text may hold an evil power that threatens to crawl its way into our world.
