The planet Hesperides in the Escose system is under bombardment by the enemy. In addition to the potential loss of life, valuable tantalum refineries are under threat. It is possible the liquid tantalum will be used to power the cores of shiv worldships, which would threaten the Spire itself.

Go to Hesperides and secure the three refineries. Planetary evacuation will be underway and will need defending from the ground.
