Three months ago General Kurst led a platoon of Vanguard into the jungle planet of Tarsus. Their mission was to eradicate the Basilisk presence and prevent any further shipbuilding. 

We lost all comms with Kurst and their platoon a month ago. This was after they reported mission success. Kurst was ordered to stay on Tarsus and build an outpost. Now it seems they've gone awol. Of corncern is the final message we recived from one Corporal Elgarth:

Sigcom open: Tarsus remains secure but we may have a problem. Kurst isn't right. They're raving about "the factory" they supposedly found underground and the "god who slumbers" there. What's worse is Kurst has convinced many of the platoon of some divine prophecy and that the start of a new order begins here.

 We need you to investigate what has happened to Kurst and the Vanguard, retrieve them and bring them or their remains home.
